Founding Mitrelli Group
Mitrelli Group is founded, creating a dedicated platform for national-scale infrastructure and development across Africa.

Yapama is established, adding to the ecosystem’s medical distribution and healthcare technology capabilities in Africa.

Launched in 2025 with a $100 million initial commitment, in partnership with Angola’s Sovereign Fund, the platform, initiated by Haim Taib, is designed to mobilize up to $1 billion toward catalytic development along one of Africa’s most important emerging trade routes. By connecting capital, partners, and long-term strategic focus, the platform aims to unlock economic value, empower local communities, and accelerate regional integration.

Amir Witkon
EVP, Legal & Strategic Alliances
Amir leads legal strategy and strategic alliances at Taib Group, focusing on international business strategy, cross-border transactions, and partnerships. He operates across Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, advising leadership on structuring complex deals and building long-term alliances. With over 25 years of experience, he holds an LLM from Bar-Ilan University and an LLB from Brunel University, specializing in commercial and antitrust law.
David Taib
EVP, Strategy & Alignment
David is the Taib family’s representative in the Group and leads strategy and alignment. He ensures that portfolio company strategies align with the overall family vision. He is involved in investment decisions and capital allocation across the Group, working closely with leadership to maintain alignment with long-term objectives. He previously held roles across wealth management, strategy, and M&A, and holds a Master’s degree in Finance from Bayes Business School.
Fabio Zaffalon
EVP, Investments & Portfolio Mgmt
Fabio oversees investment strategy and portfolio performance across Taib Group’s global assets. He works closely with leadership on portfolio value creation, capital deployment, and cross-border transactions. With over 25 years of experience, his background includes senior roles at McKinsey, EY-Parthenon, IBM, and L.E.K. Consulting, and he holds an MSc in Finance from Columbia Business School.
Humberto Gonçalves
EVP, Corporate Control
Humberto oversees corporate control, governance, and banking relationships across Taib Group, ensuring financial discipline and operational integrity. He serves as an executive director for several Group companies and is a member of the President’s advisory board. With over three decades of experience, his background in law and multinational operations equips him with deep expertise in complex, cross-border corporate structures.
Dr. Merav Galili
EVP, Corporate Development
Merav leads corporate strategy, portfolio governance, and innovation across the Group’s diversified holdings in Africa, Europe, and Israel. She serves as an active member of investment committees across the Group. Bringing nearly 30 years of experience, she has held senior roles in investment management and holds a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
Oren Chaluzi
EVP, Finance & Internal Audit
Oren is responsible for group-level financial oversight, including capital flow management, internal audit coordination, financial reporting analysis, and ongoing engagement with subsidiaries and strategic stakeholders.Oren brings over 25 years of experience as a CPA and CFO, specializing in private and commercial companies.Throughout his career, he has extensive expertise in purchase and sales transactions, mergers, audits, and financing. Oren holds a BA in Business Administration, specializing in accounting, and an MA in Law.
