Built on values. Designed for scale.

One philosophy.

Decades of impact.

Haim Taib is the founder of Taib Group and Taib Foundation, and the driving force behind its long-term vision. Over decades in Africa, he contributed to strengthening and developing countries and supporting local leadership. That experience has shaped an ecosystem of independent businesses that share values, entrepreneurial conviction, and a deep belief that business success should create lasting value for countries, communities, and people.

Haim’s story

Haim Taib, the son of immigrants from North Africa, was raised in a modest farming village in Israel, where the values of hard work, generosity, and perseverance shaped his character. That grounding in land, production, and community became a lifelong philosophy: progress is built by creating real capability—practical systems, trusted partnerships, and opportunities that allow people and countries to advance.

In the early 1990s, Haim Taib began working in Angola during civil war and severe shortages. He played a key role in advancing stability and cooperation. Through Aldeia Nova—a project centered on self-sustaining, agriculture-based communities—Taib helped unite people from opposing sides of the conflict within a shared economic framework. Over time, Aldeia Nova became a symbol of reconciliation and a cornerstone of Angola’s agri-industrial development.

One of the defining insights that shaped his business approach came in 2003, when he developed the concept behind Luminar. More than a financing solution, it was a practical model that enabled governments in Africa and emerging markets to transform national priorities into executable development programs. By connecting financing with implementation and long-term impact, it addressed one of the greatest challenges in these markets: turning ambition into execution. This approach became the foundation of a broader model that connected financing, infrastructure, services, social impact, and long-term investment.

What started as entrepreneurship evolved into building and scaling businesses in complex environments—mobilizing international capital, designing financial models, and delivering integrated solutions with governments, institutions, and local ecosystems. Across water, energy, food security, healthcare, education, housing, and technology, he led more than 100 national-scale projects—anchored in a clear principle: development must be economically viable and scalable, built around real needs.

Taib has spearheaded projects that improved quality of life across Africa, including large-scale clean water initiatives bringing safe water to rural villages and helping reduce infant mortality, the development of self-sustaining cities, and the establishment of modern hospitals.

Over the decades, Haim’s work has focused on positioning Africa as a defining global growth engine through long-term partnerships, strategic infrastructure, and regional platforms that strengthen trade and resilience. Today, Taib Group reflects that legacy: an ecosystem spanning infrastructure, essential services, financing, technology, investment, and philanthropy across Africa, Europe, the Middle East, and the United States. From assets such as the Nacala grain terminal in Mozambique to the $1 billion Lobito Corridor Impact Development Platform, his approach remains consistent—long-term commitment, disciplined execution, trust in people, and the belief that responsible business can strengthen countries, connect regions, and create lasting impact.

The origin of the

Taib Foundation

The Taib Family Foundation was born from a belief that has guided Haim Taib throughout his life: that business success should be measured not only by what is built, but by what it makes possible for others. Over time, that belief evolved into a structured commitment to long-term social impact, grounded in partnership, responsibility, and measurable contribution, both in Africa and Israel.
